About us
Orange and Olive is a family run business, focused on agrotourism/ ecotourism. We are working to lower the impact of travel on the environment, cultivate the land using the principles of Permaculture whilst ensuring guests enjoy their time in Kefalonia. We offer a variety of beautiful self catering accommodation to stay around the island; from a luxury stone villa situated in Evreti, built in the traditional style of architecture, to family friendly villas located between Skala and Poros, and mini villas located in the peaceful olive grove near St Thomas Beach.
Meet the team
We, Lizzie and Dennis, set up Orange and Olive to combine our passion of permaculture, hospitality and travel. Before moving to Kefalonia, Dennis spent 6 years in Johannesburg working at his family’s tourism business. Dennis’ grandfather left Tzameralata, Kefalonia as a teenager after the second world war and moved to Africa. The decision to move to Kefalonia was shaped by the future of our two boys. Orange and Olive’s hostess is Lizzie. You can usually find her gardening, running after her two boys, teaching Yoga or on her stand up paddle board (SUP). Lizzie is also a certified yoga and mindfulness instructor (Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Pregnancy Yoga), specialising in Women’s health and Ayurveda and runs Stand up Paddle (SUP) Yoga classes and tours to local beaches to explore the beautiful coast line of Kefalonia.
Lizzie and Dennis are working to transform the land in Karavados from a neglected olive grove, devoid of cultivated olive trees and diversity with the hope to create an abundant life-filled healthy system using the teachings of permaculture. We have both completed our Permaculture Design Course and are passionate about permaculture and sustainable living and we would love to share our experience with others.
If you are interested in sustainable living Lizzie and Dennis are happy to walk you through the olive grove and chat about all things permaculture!
